Susan worked for over 20 years with the Office of the Australian Government Actuary.

For the past 10 years Susan was a senior actuary in the Office responsible for major projects related to superannuation, military compensation and the valuation of student loans.  Her clients included Attorney-General’s Department, the Department of Defence, the ANU, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and the Department of Education.

Susan is extremely experienced in financial modelling and the provision of policy and actuarial advice related to the assessment and valuation of uncertain long-term financial outcomes.

Susan has been a member of the Institute of Actuaries Council and for many years was the external examiner for the actuarial control cycle subject at the ANU. She is a Fellow of the Institute of the Actuaries of Australia (FIAA).
