Roger Fisher

Roger Fisher is an experienced consultant who specialises in providing advice to Chief Executive Officers and senior executives on the development of policy and strategy, organisational performance and change strategies.
Roger has worked with clients in the public and non-government sectors in Australia and overseas. He has provided advice on policy, regulatory and program delivery functions, governance and leadership frameworks and service delivery models. Roger has a reputation for working collaboratively with clients to develop practical and implementable solutions to complex problems. His work is based on rigorous and insightful analysis, an ability to apply relevant theories and literature and sound judgment.
Roger worked for many years as a senior executive in policy development, budget and corporate areas of Australian government departments. He led major policy reviews in aviation, transport and communications, broadcasting, the arts, agriculture and regional development. Roger established the Commonwealth Shareholder Advisory Unit and led large scale change programs in two Commonwealth Departments. He also chaired a large government business enterprise and oversaw a successful transformation project that prepared the business for sale into the private sector.
Roger has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and a Master of Advanced Studies from the Australian National University, a Master of Arts from the University of New England, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Policy Studies from the University of Canberra. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Roger is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport and a member of the Telecommunications Association. He is also a former member of the NSW Independent Planning Commission.
